This catalog page has our recommened language software for learning and understanding the spoken and written German language. The emphasis is on learning much the same way that you learned your first language. That was by listening and watching, learning to understand the words and their meaning and then repeating the words and making sentences. This was a trial and error method, but it worked, because we were determined to get our ideas across. Our attempts at speaking and reading was monitored and guided by someome who knew more that we did. And now your computer and your choice of software will be your language learning guide.

NOTE: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland has produced some of the world's greatest thinkers, and for good reason. The structure, precision, and scope of the German language promotes perfectly advanced thought and reasoning. This also means that German is quite difficult to speak well, and for some students very difficult.

This list includes software courses for beginners and for the more advanced German speaking students. And remember this, learning another language isn't easy. Hard determined work and discipline is required. The good news is that anyone that can learn one language, can learn another.
A comprehensive language study also requires good tutorial books teaching reading and writting. This important part of any language course requires the study of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
Good dictionaries are also useful. Therefore, we have included on this list an excellent German-English talking dictionary.
